Saying no to your children

Published by gillandro at 7:57 pm under general topics Edit This

I know you have to do it, but it is hard at times.  I hate saying no to my four year old.  The word no is so troublesome for me. I never had to deal with no when I was growing up.  I never had to not get what I wanted.  I was not spoiled however. I turned out to be a decent person, at least from my point of view.  I look into my little girls eyes and it hurts when I have to say no to her about something.  I know it’s for her own good but it just is terrible to have to say the word.  Having children makes you want to give them everything you possibly can.  It makes you want to put them first no matter what the situation is.  She is a cute lil girl and when she says to me can I have this daddy, I want to be able to always say yes to her.  Of course I guess, which most people would comment to this fact that there have to be limits.  That the word no is in her best interest to learn.  I still however, hate saying such a thing.

If you dont say No, they will take you for granted and keep asking you till you are in the poor house, or they will take ur gifts for granted and not appreciate it cause they get too much and get what they want with a snap of a finger and puppy dog eyes, you need to let them appreciate what they are given.
They cant learn anything lets say , if they break something and u replace it right away or at all. they have to learn responsibilities, esp you cant say yes when they are older and ask you for a car or for money for drugs and such. Yes can be more dangerous than no most of the time. You can splurge and gift them every once in a while but not all the time or u will be in poor house and under appreciated
