What is beautiful these days?
Why is it that society has such a shallow view of beauty? Why do they put women in magazines that are stick figures who probably spent their day puking up their guts any way? How does society have the right to say what is and isn’t beautiful? Beauty is in the heart not the skin. A person should be judged, as Martin Luther King Jar said by the quality of their character and not anything else. Why do we have people judging us on appearance. How come someone who has some meat on them is considered grossly over weight and these days someone whose bones will show will be considered the beautiful person. I loved the twilight zone called “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” because it showed how screwed up things could be. How what see as beautiful is different than what someone else might see. I think it is simply disgusting of us to determine how we handle people based on looks. I always judge based on how someone interacts with me, not on how they are dressed or how they look. I always felt that what is outside and what is inside are usually not supposed to be the same issue. Only what is in a person’s character matters. We are defined by what we do not how we look. Our hearts are our greatest and most beautiful things.
I couldnt agree with you more and I feel the same way.
I love you for it.
